Sarah is an experienced litigator with a reputation for succinct
and persuasive submissions. Her civil litigation practice includes
representing clients from all backgrounds in the Weathertight Homes
Tribunal, the High Court (including judicial review applications)
and the Court of Appeal. Sarah's clients particularly value her
ability to explain complicated legal issues in a comprehensible
manner.
Sarah joined Martelli McKegg in November 2011. She has a First
class degree in law from Cambridge University and was admitted to
the Bar of England and Wales in 1998. Her UK practice included
acting for clients at every tier of the UK judicial system up to
the Court of Appeal, the Coroner's Court and tribunals such as the
Criminal Injuries Compensation Board. She immigrated to New Zealand
in 2006 and was admitted as a barrister and solicitor of the High
Court of New Zealand in 2011.
